Sport Toppers...

N
o overnight success, but on this night it was George Bovell III and Cleopatra Borel (represented by her mother) gave success a new spunk (Sport Toppers). Topping their way at the First Citizens Sports Foundation Sportsman and Sportswoman Awards 2014 Queen’s Hall.

Topping sports and having the best year ever earns this title, as the Sportsman and Sportswoman, writes your name into history books, as a true pioneer to your sporting endeavours’ achieved during your illustrious time as an athlete.

In the same way First Citizens Sports Foundation, used the merit of deserving men and women within their golden moment in living colour. A presentation towards greatness from every sporting discipline throughout Trinidad and Tobago was gleefully represented.

Equally important these athletes expressed real enthusiasm, they seemed truly proud to be a nominee, better yet being placed within the Top 10 category was more than appreciated.

I tell most women “you can still do power-lifting and maintain your femininity” so said Yolande Mc Intyre a top 10 sportswoman nominee. She explains on the basis of some misconceptions about power- lifting and its transformation towards the physical attributes of women... saying it enhances rather than changes .

Finally to all who played an active part and contributed their services to such an amazing event job well done. For our athletes both men and women, epitomizing a distinguishable pride of tremendous talent and honour, keep waving within your heart of gold... its your time now.

Stay Tuned...
