Nike to make 'Back to the Future' sneakers

Nike have announced they will produce self-lacing shoes, like those in the 2015 imagined in the 1989 film, Back to the Future II.
To celebrate the arrival of the (then futuristic) date featured in the film -October 21,2015-the footwear company announced they will produce a limited run of Nike Mags (Magnetic Anti-Gravity),the sneakers worn by Marty McFly in the film.
All proceeds from the sale of the shoes will go towards the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research.
This isn't the first time Nike Mags have been on the market.
In 2011, 1500 replica pairs of the shoes were auctioned off for the Michael J.Fox Foundation.However,crucially,those shoes just looked like the shoes in the film,and were not actually self lacing.
In a statement on their website, Nike said the Mags were an "individually responsive system that senses the wearer's motion to provide adaptive on-demand comfort and support".
Auction dates will be released in autumn next year.
