The two women met this week at the premiere of Yousafzai's new documentary, He Named Me Malala at the Into Film festival which is aimed at young people. Then, in front of 10,000 students, spoke about the importance of education, equality and the work of Yousafzai's organisation, The Malala Fund.

Posting the interview to her Facebook page on Thursday, Watson - a UN global goodwill ambassador for women - said she was most moved when the influential teenager addressed the issue of feminism.

The Pakistani-born women's rights advocate survived an assassination attempt at the age of 15 after speaking out against the Taliban's ban on female education.
