"It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary,
iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence
this morning at the age of 57," publicist Yvette Noel-Schure said in a
statement. "There are no further details as to the cause of death at this
time."
The local Sheriff's office said the singer was found unresponsive in
a lift and could not be revived.
"On April 21, at about 9.43am, Sheriff's deputies responded to a
medical call at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen," a statement released
by the Carver County Sheriff's office said.
