Toronto’s 50th Annual Caribbean Carnival
The celebration is the largest street festival in North
America and has grown from a mere 50,000 participants when it began in 1967
(which is still a pretty good turnout if you ask us) to over 1.2 million.
The parade
is all about celebrating Caribbean culture and history with a heavy focus on
those dazzling costumes. If you’re not done up in glitter, at
least six colours and a million feathers, are you even participating?
