From 1999 to Forever: Bunji Garlin's Unbreakable Love for Jamaica's Carnival

Bunji Garlin is back, and for Jamaica’s Carnival, it’s more personal than ever.

“I’ve been here every year since ‘99. Whether I’m here performing or here just to be a part of carnival, I’ve been here every year since 1999,” the soca legend shared. His consistency has made him a fixture in Jamaica’s Carnival scene ... not just a star, but family.

This year, Bunji drops a new anthem rooted in Caribbean pride.

"That song was designed to be an indigenous song," he said. "I think it was important to do something that just means something for home."

He’s also throwing a pop-up fΓͺte at Janga’s Soundbar this Saturday ... a full-on, no-frills, sneakers-and-short-pants kind of night.
"It’s a real fΓͺte! Wild-out business, you know?" he teased.

For Bunji Garlin, Jamaica isn’t just another stop... it’s Carnival tradition, 25 years strong.
