Life Imitating Art
The art-form along with our ethnicity, mixed cultures for which we know and come to love featured Machel Montano being the voice...echoing a very popular and familiar phrase (This Is Carnival) within a local movie... which premiered recently in Trinidad and Tobago at Movietowne called Bazodee.
Haven't gotten a chance yet! To eat some Bazodee popcorn as well as positioning my front row seating honours for viewing this movie .But from the looks and responses from audiences, expressed through various mediums thus far.... they calling it ah we boy doing his ting the MM way seems to be the main critique given at this time.
In-fact at a press conference Machel hinted his apprehension for accepting this role as being a challenge, and wondered if some acting classes, in the interim was necessary.However, it turned out to be a natural genre for him to depict within this movie...hmmmm
No acting classes... was needed after all... just rhythm and a Trini Flow and wallah its a Bazodee wrap.
