Singapore

Singaporean Street Food

I always thought only Guyanese folks said “chicken curry,” while the rest of us swore by “curry chicken.” But here on the street segment, the host proudly presented a steaming plate of “chicken curry” like it was a royal decree. I’m convinced, though—no matter what you call it, once that spicy aroma hits your nose, it’s going to taste like “curry chicken” in your heart.

Tobago

Tobago Own

We all know what it means to be Trini to the bone ... but let’s be honest, Bago is truly our own vibe.

Why? Because after spending 3–4 Christmas holidays in Tobago, I could tell you straight… the joy hits different.
I haven’t made it to Tobago Carnival yet (don’t judge me), but from what I’m observing?

My word ... it’s going to be a full-on blast.
Energy, culture, pace, people… Tobago setting the tone.

My real Tobago story started back in 2002, almost 20 years ago.
I was there with a production crew shooting a Kindred music video, directed by Jason Riley.

We stayed at a guest house by Buccoo Reef, filmed at Nylon Pool, and lived through nightlife that felt straight out of cinema.

Imagine this:
tourists everywhere, food steaming on the roadside, the hum of laughter, drinks clinking, local music pouring out of every corner ... that was my first time seeing tourism in real motion.

A few years later, I ended up back in Tobago ... this time for a football fete match.
The match was good, but when the electricity went, the night turned into a bar-counter liming fest with the Tobago team sharing drinks in the dark.
Only in Tobago.

Recently, I stumbled on a few videos that reignited that whole creative pulse… and I had to share them.

Monday Wear

Carnival Monday!

The question is, when Carnival Monday arrives, can you tell the difference between a glamorous masquerader and someone with a simple yet effective gym body on the road as a model? In my view, as long as you can confidently represent the spirit of Carnival, you are indeed a model. The essence lies not just in the costume or physique but in the energy, presence, and celebration of the culture that truly make you stand out on this vibrant day.

Bold, Bare, and Beautiful

Then there’s Patrice Roberts, whose artistry and image balance power and grace. Her tattoos ... subtle but visible ... play like notes in a performance.

“It’s a vibe,” she once laughed. “You wear what you feel. Sometimes that means ink, sometimes that means glitter.”

Pole Dancing...

Pole Fitness

W
hen it comes to pole dance, in the common imagination, it’s really easy to think of a strip club or some half-naked girls dancing in erotic way, because not everyone knows the difference between pole and lap dancing (or table dance).

This was true until a few years ago, but now things have changed so radically and significantly.

Konu Mouth

 "Carnival Konu Mouth"

Konu Mouth:

You ever been in a room, perfectly peaceful, minding your blessed business... when suddenly you catch a whisper, a lip-point, a side glance… and a body turn so strategic it could win awards?

Just so, Konu Mouth start.

If you’re new to the term, “Konu Mouth” is that delicate, almost Olympic-level skill of gossiping without ever fully committing to words.

"Smiles"

A photo from RWF always starts with a smile.

The charm of these images lies in their ability to radiate positivity, inviting viewers into a world where every frame tells a story of connection, happiness, and authenticity. Whether it’s a candid grin or a heartfelt laugh, that first spark of joy becomes the heartbeat of the entire composition, making each picture more than just an image...it becomes a memory worth cherishing.

Close UP!

#SnapSHOT

As a roaming photographer, close-up shots are for the bold, not the faint-hearted. Often referred to as “SnapSHOT,” they capture perfect timing even through the hustle of a crowd.

In photography, moments when a subject’s eyes seem to say, “Look into my eyes,” are powerful—eyes that shine bright, bold, and full of confidence, silently declaring, “Snap me, I am beautiful.”

As you may know, RWF commentary is one of the central new written pieces that focuses on aspects of different world cultures, fostering our connections. Personally, I am not aware of any revolution celebrations we observe, but for the sake of discussion, let’s say Carnival... though I digress.

Stand Tall T&T

We Stand Tall💯

Kevin Molino leads the team walk off

Seven times your back is against the wall, seven times you fall... we stand tall. That has always been the heartbeat of Trinidad and Tobago Men’s Football.

By 4 p.m., the gates cracked open and the first waves of supporters stepped into the cool breath of the stadium. The match was set for 8 p.m... World Cup Qualifier, Group B, Trinidad & Tobago vs Jamaica... the kind of matchup that forces honesty out of even the most loyal fan.

As a roaming photographer, arriving early isn’t a duty, it’s an advantage. It’s where you feel the vibrations long before the whistle. Where you hear the nerves, the pride, the doubt, the hope... raw and unfiltered. My pop-question of the evening was simple:

Ink Factor

 The Ink Effect 💋

Being Blunt About Beauty, Boldness & Body Art

By Real World Fiction (RWF) Trinidad

Under the glare of stage lights, ink has become part of the performance.
From Port of Spain to Miami, from small fetes to global soca stages, tattoos are now as visible as sequins and shimmer and maybe...just maybe..they’ve become the new symbol of power.

We’ve always known pretty girls get attention... but tattooed girls? They bring an edge. It’s not just the skin; it’s the confidence underneath it. Tattoos whisper “I dare.”
